LABOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY

Due to the importance we highlight for human and respect we give to the laws, the OHSAS 18001 Labor Health and Safety Management System established in the scope of labor health and safety will be a inseparable item of management comprehension of Nuh Çimento Sanayi A.Ş. which is one of the biggest Turkish cement factories and known around the world with the quality of clinker and cement it produces. Although our plant has heavy working conditions due to its production and technology, we shall not be against to the international regulations and laws about labor health and safety unjustifiably, for providing the healthiness and safety of our staff, contractors, customers and visitors. The ways of providing this will be determined by fulfilling the followings:

- Our first principle will be "Accidents do not accept any excuse"
- We will continuously review and make improvements for the applications about Labor Health and Safety.
- We will eliminate the dangers by handling them with team performances.
- We will control the risks by evaluating them with team performances.
- We will make our organization, of which our staff and surroundings will be proud, such that it is healthy and has an environment compliant with the surroundings .

We commit that the cement will be produced not with accidents but healthy and safe for our staff, the environment and society.

Nuh Çimento Sanayi A.Ş., which has been a known name in the world with its quality of clinker and cement it produces, respect it gives to laws and importance paid for human and environmet and which is one of the largest cement plants in Turkey, will continue to be the leader of supplying products suitable for the expectations and demands of customers.

The quality assurance management system which was established with this conscious is an unseparable part of the management comprehension. Our company follows the technological improvements closely, reflects these changes to its production stages, and aims to increase its profitability by reducing the costs without a bit of loss in the quality of its products. It is aware of the fact that the technological improvements are not enough for our company, and thus it will continue to be the leader in its field by training its staff continuously and forming the team spirit. According to our company`s management understanding: it will not only be careful with its products to be suitable for the expectations and demands of the customers and while it is produced it is not harmful for the environment, but also, pays attention to the health and safety of its staff, contractors, customers and visitors. Being one of the largest cement factories in Turkey, our company, which has a reputable name throughout the World with the quality of clinker and cement it produces, will continue to be a leader in protecting the environment in accordance with the importance we give to human and environment and the respect we feed for the laws. The Environment Management System established by this aspect is an inevitable part of the management system.

Our company aims not to be harmful to its environment and to protect the nature where it is placed, while it tracks the technological improvements, reflects these improvements to its production stages, manufactures without making concessions in its well-known product quality and having a leader place in its subject.

With the conscious of applying technological improvements being not sufficient for our company, it will continue to be a leader in preventing the environment and nature from pollution by educating its staff and materializing the team spirit.

Our company’s management comprehension requires not only to manufacture products complying with customer demands and requests and manufacture them without giving any harm to environment but also to apply asiding the wastes and by-products which will have positive effects on the environment.

To improve the sensitivity to environment, there will be a cooperation with all of our suppliers.
